This is where you chuckle, and I say “You wanna see my papers?”
You laugh it off an say “no, that won’t be necessary.”
I was born in the world famous Charity Hospital of New Orleans at a time when Mardi Gras was still a family event. That blistering summer night my father’s arrival at the Dream Palace, the bar he and my mother operated in the Marigny, brought a stiffening halt to the Neville Brothers who were keeping the crowd ramped up with their soon to be hit Fiyo on the Bayou. The crowd shifted their attention from the local legends to find out that Manley Hayden Miller had just entered the world. The Neville Brothers led the crowd in issuing my first standing ovation. Ever since that day I’ve been trying to live up to that first impression.
The last 15 years have included the following highlights…
- In 2009 I spoke to crowds of over 500 people on 36 occassions
- Was nominated for a Press Club of New Orleans award at the age of 13
- Got a driver’s license at the age of 15 and had my first wreck 2 weeks later
- Recorded a rap album at the age of 21
- I’m an award winning hip-hop dancer
- I’m an award winning logo designer
- I’m a licensed minister who has performed over 40 marriage ceremonies
- I’m a partner in the world famous Wizard of Ads group
